Flu & Covid Vaccine Clinic

Shoppers Drug Mart will be holding a Flu & Covid vaccine clinic at Gurdwara Sahib on 28 October (Saturday), between 10 am and 4 pm. The following are the details:

“Shoppers Drug Mart will be holding a vaccine clinic this October, which will include both the flu shot and COVID19 booster. This clinic is available for all people who:

• are above the age of 5 years old
• hold a valid, non-expired MCP card (you must bring your MCP card with you)
• have not previously had an allergic reaction to the flu shot or COVID19 vaccine, and are not allergic to components of the flu vaccine or latex
• do not have any contraindications to receiving the flu shot or COVID19 vaccine
• for COVID19 booster: must be greater than 6 months since last booster

Note that both vaccines are free of charge for patients. The flu shot provided will be the publicly available vaccine.

We ask that you do not attend the flu clinic if you are experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID19, are feeling unwell or have a fever. It is best to wait until you are feeling better to receive the flu shot. We also request you to stay for 15 minutes after receiving your flu shot to ensure you do not have any immediate reactions to it.”

Required consent forms available at the Gurdwara Sahib when you arrive for your shot.

Please note that this is a walk-in clinic so no advance reservation/appointment is needed, but any prior information on number of flu-shots & covid booster vaccine needed is appreciated as it will help with the planning of the clinic by replying to this email (nfss.gurdwara@gmail.com).
