Street Lighting

 

Have you noticed a street light that is not functioning properly?

You can now report this directly through the NL Power website and Report a Street Light Out (https://www.newfoundlandpower.com/en/Outages/Report-a-Street-Light-Out) by accessing the mapping they have provided.

You can always reach out to the Town for assistance in reporting such cases should you encounter any trouble in completing the request.

 

Street Light Placement

Requests for street lights in your area must be made by completing the public works form or by contacting the Town (709) 726-7930 ext. 107

• Lighting for new collector and local roadways shall conform to the Town’s Development Design Manual.
• Lighting for new collector and arterial roadways shall conform to Guide for the Design of Roadway Lighting, Transportation Association of Canada, latest edition.
• Lighting at intersections shall conform to the design criteria for the higher classified road.
