2017 Assessment Notices

Municipal Assessment Agency Inc. mailed out assessment notices to all property owners on October 3, 2016.  Your assessment notice provides the form and information needed to file a formal appeal.  Please enclose your cheque or money order with your appeal.  Your appeal will not be processed if you do not enclose your cheque or money order.  The appeal filing fee is fully refundable if you are successful, or if you withdraw your appeal at least 10 days prior to your hearing.  Questions call 1-877-777-2807.

2017 Tax Rates

The following is published in accordance with section 109(1) of the Municipalities Act.  At a meeting of the Town Council of Logy Bay – Middle Cove – Outer Cove held on January 30, 2017 it was resolved that the following rates be imposed in the town for the 2017 fiscal year:

    4.5 mills (Minimum $50.00)
  • Business Tax
    11.5 mills (Minimum $150.00)

    2.5% (Gross Revenue)

    $ 1.08 per square metre minimum rate $ 25.00
  • Permit for an Advertising Sign

        Subsequent violation notices within a twelve month period will result in an additional $100.00
        fine per violation.
